Entitled <strong data-start=\"499\" data-end=\"523\">&#8220;The Benchmark 2025&#8221;<\/strong>, the analysis compares R&amp;D tax incentives in eleven European and North American countries. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"626\" data-end=\"661\">A worrying tax backlog<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"958\">While France grants a 30% tax deduction on R&amp;D expenditure, Germany 25% and the Netherlands 32%, Belgium limits itself to <strong data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"824\">13.5% for SMEs<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"828\" data-end=\"866\">11.3% for large companies<\/strong>. This difference directly affects the competitiveness of the Belgian innovation ecosystem. <\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"960\" data-end=\"995\">Overly complex procedures<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1214\">In addition to a less attractive tax environment, Belgium suffers from <strong data-start=\"1062\" data-end=\"1116\">cumbersome and unclear administrative procedures<\/strong>, creating legal uncertainty and discouraging companies from investing more in R&amp;D.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1451\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1451\"><em data-start=\"1218\" data-end=\"1396\">&#8220;Belgium needs to increase its generosity to bring it into line with neighboring countries.
