Ayming in the news: Despite rising costs, companies are not cutting back on R&D
In this article from the daily newspaper l’Echo, Michel Lauwers gives us the main findings of the International Innovation Barometer 2025 published this Tuesday by Ayming. The study reflects the opinions of 1,227 CEOs and R&D directors from companies of all sizes in 17 countries, including Belgium.
“Companies in the world’s major markets are increasingly using artificial intelligence in their research, despite the pressure on costs.
In a constrained economic environment, marked by the slowdown, companies in the world’s major markets have tightened their innovation efforts, aiming for more immediate results. They have nevertheless increased their efforts in technology and artificial intelligence. And while they did not reduce their R&D spending compared to last year, they did seek more funding through grants and less through tax credits…”
