Our goal in Innovation Performance

Ayming supports its clients in their innovation strategy by helping them optimize R&D funding and accompanying them in the management of incentives available in Belgium. This enables clients to concentrate on their core business, and contributes to strengthening their competitiveness in the market.

Your tasks and responsibilities

In charge of a team of consultants, you help them on a daily basis to accompany and support their clients in managing the financing of their innovation.

More concretely, your job as Teamleader will consist of :

People management :

• You are the operational manager of a team of consultants, reporting directly to the Department Director ;
• You have one2ones on a weekly basis with each member of your team to follow-up, train, and redirect them where necessary and support them in their daily work as well in their long term objectives ;
• You guarantee the quality of the service and secure the client satisfaction ;
• You develop new saving possibilities within your domain of expertise ;
• Lead by example. You coach and guide your team by sharing your knowledge and expertise ;
• You are the first point of contact for the other departments and you actively contribute to knowledge sharing ;
• You detect and anticipate delicate situations. You have a pragmatic and problem solving approach ;
• You unite your team and create a safe and positive working environment where you ensure the development of everyone’s talents ;
• You develop and optimize current working processes and ensure that the team follows up correctly ;
• You support the sales department by joining them as a true advisor during client and prospect meetings ;
• You promote and represent the company ;

Client portfolio management (your team’s and a few of your own) :

• You are specialized in the different Belgian R&D grants and tax incentives, in charge of maximizing their benefits for innovative businesses.
• From the beginning, you will visit clients on a regular basis, conducting audits, collecting data on the client’s organization and activities, analyzing the information and evaluating opportunities with the aim of establishing a relationship of professional trust with your clients.
• You prepare refund claims and technical files to back up these requests.
• You advise clients on improving the performance of their R&D strategy and innovation management.
• You manage and execute projects from start to finish, including the administrative side.
• You maintain good relations with all parties involved in the process, including the Belgian tax authorities and the Belgian science policy administration (BELSPO).
• You keep track of evolutions of the national and international regulatory framework regarding R&D and Innovation.
• You will be responsible for your own client portfolio, with the support of experienced and international colleagues.
• You contribute to the development of our business and help turn our ideas into business opportunities by building long-term business relationships with your clients.

Your profile

• You have a master’s degree preferably in law or engineering, and an affinity for innovation in general.
• You have at least 2/3 years of experience in management and at least 5 years in consulting.
• You are curious, analytical and like to discover new things.
• You are result-oriented and like to meet the expectations of your clients
• Knowledge of Belgian R&D tax measures and/or R&D grants is a plus.
• French is your mother tongue and you speak English fluently.
• You enjoy working in a team and can work independently and in an organized way.
• You behave professionally and inspire trust.
• You see opportunities and find a way to seize them.
• You have a hands-on mentality and good at motivating people
• You dare to step out of your comfort zone and leave the beaten track in search of a suitable solution.
• You want to work with different customers who are doing pioneering work in various sectors.
• You express what you think, in writing and orally, in a clear and respectful way.
• You act in a reliable and professional manner.
